The new version of TopClass LMS (Learning Management System) is here and we are excited to share with you the great new features that make participation more rewarding for professional learners and simplify the delivery of learning for administrators. When we were designing the new functionality for TopClass LMS version 10, we contacted our Association clients and asked them to give us their insights on digital badges - a growing trend in association learning technology. Based on the feedback we received, we were able to build a solution incorporating their feedback that extends the existing social learning features of TopClass LMS, is relevant to association learning needs, and provides useful, accessible tools for learning administrators. As noted by our CTO Linda Bowers in the press release announcing the availability of TopClass 10, we really enjoyed working with our clients and we are so grateful to our wonderful user community for taking the time to provide their experience and insight.
We are now delighted to share some sneak peak screenshots of our enhanced social learning features, including digital badges and a new user profile. We are also very excited about some user experience updates that will make getting started with TopClass easier for administrator users, with a tiled dashboard and comprehensive product tours to guide you in setting up your LMS.
With our new tiled dashboard, getting started with TopClass is even easier for our Administrator users. The at-a-glance layout makes it easy to find what you need to set up your groups, users and courses, and provide helpful resources at your fingertips.
With our helpful new product tours, you can be guided step-by-step through setting up your LMS. It will be just like having our support team at your side. Launch the product tour at any time in the set up process for help with completing workflows and forms or to get a quick refresh on your learning administrator training.
With our new digital badges you can design and share badges to reward participation and learning achievements for your members, display your badges on your enhanced user profile and share to your OpenBadges online backpack. Import external badges from your backpack also, and share them in TopClass.
Also known as xAPI or TinCan, Experience API support allows learners to record external learning activities they have completed on their user profile, transcript, and to share outside the LMS to their social learning networks. Administrators benefit from deeper insight on learner progress and performance, and reliable course delivery on the widest range of devices.
